Samantha Acevedo joined Brown & Weinraub after over 13years of experience in New York State government, holding multiple instrumental positions in the Executive Chamber and the New York State Senate.
Most recently, Samantha acted as the Deputy Chief of Staff for State Senator Jessica Ramos, Chair of Labor. While in this role, Samantha spearheaded all legislative operations, which included leading the legislative team on in-depth legislative research and drafting, crafting solutions for policy issues, and creating a comprehensive plan for legislative sessions to strategically advance legislation and budgetary asks. Most notable, however, is Samantha’s ability to develop strong partnerships with necessary stakeholders to ensure the success of all legislative priorities.
Prior to her position as Deputy Chief of Staff, Samantha held the roles of Legislative Director, Director of Fundraising, Director of Albany Operations, and Special Aide within the Executive Chamber and State Senate. Within these roles, Samantha became an expert in effectively operating in our State government's Executive and Legislative branches, which has afforded her the skills to be a valuable member of the Brown & Weinraub team. Additionally, Samantha received a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Albany.
After many years of service to the State, Samantha brings her meaningful connections and experience to her role as the new Legislative Director of Brown & Weinraub.
