Rebecca grew up on Long Island and now calls New York City home. Graduating from Fordham University in 2013, Rebecca built a career in the labor movement working for some of New York’s most prominent unions - including the Teamsters Joint Council 16, Building & Construction Trades of Greater New York, and the Mason Tenders District Council of Greater New York.

After a 2013 subway accident left her disabled, she saw an intimate portrait of how New York can work better for all communities and was inspired to grow her involvement in efforts to make New York City more accessible and inclusive. Drawing on her personal experiences as a disabled New Yorker and professional experience with government, Rebecca ran for New York City Council in 2021.

Following her campaign, Rebecca returned to her work in the labor movement while also charting a new course in disability advocacy. Rebecca has been featured in City & State's 2021 Labor 40 Under 40, the Emmy-nominated interactive series Inaccessible Cities and on the Tamron Hall Show. Her work has also been published in the New York Daily News, Teen Vogue, City Limits and other major publications.

Rebecca currently lives on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where she serves on Manhattan Community Board 8 and is a board member of Disability Victory.
